The faculty and staff of Buckner Elementary are dedicated to providing an outstanding educational experience for our students. Located just off of Highway 146 north of the I-71 exit in Buckner, adjacent to Oldham County Preschool and Oldham County Middle School and on the same campus as Oldham County High School.

Interactive Technology

Buckner Elementary has a networked instructional computer system in all classrooms with access to Internet resources and a full range of research and instructional tools that meet state and national standards. Each classroom is supported by an interactive technology classroom, integrating technology into daily learning. The Ben Estes Library Media Center features computerized circulation and card catalog. A twelve-computer mini-lab in the library is available for individual or class use as well as a portable 30 laptop computer lab. An iPad initiative started in 2011 with 28 iPads in classrooms.

Highly Qualified Teachers

We are extremely proud of the expertise and experience of our staff. Oldham County Schools consistently have high expectations of teachers who meet the federal government’s Highly Qualified Teacher requirements and who hold National Board Teacher Certification. We respect parents’ rights to know about the qualification of their children’s teacher and welcome inquiries about teacher credentials.
